True Rock ‘n Roll Story continues to be a great bingeable YouTube channel on some memorable or more obscure part of rock history including this mid-90’s story about how the iconic Aerosmith became one of the first artists do something huge on the internet that no band like them had done: release a song online. Yeah, what a concept?

‘Head First’, an extra track recorded for the band’s successful ‘Get a Grip’ album was selected by Geffen Records for what was considered a controversial experiment when it was a big deal to just have website for a band. This was internet in 1994 when internet service providers were not widespread. It took almost hour and half to download the track by the way with those 56k over-the-phone connections.
