Another Republican is jumping into the race for Congress from the newly-drawn 13th District.
Regan Deering of Decatur is a former educator and small business owner who has also worked to raise funds for organizations like the Northeast Community Fund and the Decatur Public Schools Foundation. She says that’s given her a front-row seat into the needs of working families and hopes to serve in Congress to address some of those needs. Deering is a supporter of school choice and says she will work to lower inflation and reduce crime.
She joins Jesse Reising, another Decatur native who is seeking the GOP nomination in the 13th District.
