I suppose this is the new definition of “Rap Rock”?

Dwayne “The Rock”  Johnson announced yesterday that he’d be releasing his first ever rap song. The most electrifying man in sports entertainment guests on a track called “Face Off” from Tech N9ne, also featuring Joey Cool and King Iso.

Johnson dropped the tease of the new track yesterday on Twitter.

The song is also available on Spotify or wherever you get your music on Tech N9ne’s new album ASIN9NE, which came out today.

The Rock isn’t the first professional wrestler to dip their toes into the music industry.

Chris Jericho is one of the recently most successful with his band Fozzy. Andy Williams, better known to AEW fans as “The Butcher” will melt your face off as the founding guitarist of metalcore band Every Time I Die. John Cena has a platinum record for his 2005 rap album You Can’t See Me. R-Truth (aka Ron Killings) has released a few albums since 2003.

Randy “Macho Man” Savage actually released a rap album in 2003, if you can believe that.

Jeff Hardy, Mickie James, Lita, and others have dipped their toes into the music business as well.
