After the mid-week finale of The Walking Dead that garnered several epic plot twists (Daryl is back, a major character dies, the Whisperers are here to kill), it seems fans just weren’t that invested. Walking Dead hit another ratings low for its ninth season, which has already seen several drags. While viewership was up 8% among adults 18-49, and 6% in overall viewers from last week’s lowpoint, Sunday’s “Evolution” was the lowest rated and least watched midseason finale for the AMC series ever. Ultimately, it grabbed a 2.0 rating and an audience of 5.1 million.

Netflix has plans to remake several Roald Dahl classics, including Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG. Titles in development include: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG, The Twits, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, George’s Marvelous Medicine, Boy – Tales of Childhood, Going Solo, The Enormous Crocodile, The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me, Henry Sugar, Billy and the Minpins, The Magic Finger, Esio Trot, Dirty Beasts, and Rhyme Stew.
Sony is developing an animated Spider-Man movie with an all-female cast. The movie would be a spin-off of the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film. Possible characters may include Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, Madame Web, Spider-Girl, and Silk.
You can add two more characters to the list of those confirmed to have survived Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War. Brandon T. Snider, author of the new book “Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War: The Cosmic Quest, Volume 2: Aftermath,” shared photos of the book’s front and back covers to celebrate its release and if you look carefully at the plot summary, it confirms that Dr. Erik Selvig and his associate Darcy Lewis survived the snap. They’re the lead characters of the book.
Stan Lee’s cause of death on November 12th has been announced. The 95-year-old Marvel creator died from cardiac arrest, and respiratory and congestive heart failure, according to his official death certificate. Lee also suffered from aspiration pneumonia, in which someone inhales food, stomach acid or saliva into their lungs, ET reports.
Stephen Hillenberg, 57, the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants has died at age 57. The reported cause of death was ALS. “We are incredibly saddened by the news that Steve Hillenburg has passed away following a battle with ALS,” Nickelodeon said in a statement. “He was a beloved friend and long-time creative partner to everyone at Nickelodeon, and our hearts go out to his entire family. Steve imbued SpongeBob SquarePants with a unique sense of humor and innocence that has brought joy to generations of kids and families everywhere. His utterly original characters and the world of Bikini Bottom will long stand as a reminder of the value of optimism, friendship and the limitless power of imagination.”
