The Good, The Bad & The Nerdy for Nov 9, 2018
Another NEW MOVIE opening this weekend.. how could I forget this one in yesterday’s report? SHAME ON ME! Overlord – Rated R – A group of soldiers must battle the undead in a Nazi occupied village during World War II.
Bloody Disgusting claims a new horror film about clowns, titled Clownado, was recently made for $15,000. Director Todd Sheets is quoted by the websites as saying; “The goal with Clownado was to make a damned good, scary and splatter-filled, nonstop roller coaster ride. It’s something new, fresh, original and unique but also familiar. Using only practical special makeup effects and old school styled visual effects, Clownado has the vibe of classic horror movies we love. Think Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Bad Taste and Texas Chainsaw Massacre if Lucio Fulci was directing, all mixed in a swirling storm of insanity.” The title is a take-off on Sharknado.
WWE Monday Night Raw continuing past its scheduled ending time has been a staple of the show since the Attitude Era… but now that is reportedly going away as soon as Monday. Fightful.com says they’ve confirmed with WWE that Raw will have a hard-out time of 11 pm ET going forward.
Diego Luna will star in a new Star Wars series for Disney’s upcoming streaming service. The show will be a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Luna will reprise his role as rebel spy Cassian Andor, the cocky daredevil who helped Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso steal the Death Star plans in the hit 2016 movie.
Jeremy Irons joined the HBO’s upcoming Watchmen cast back in June and it was reported that his role would be that of an “aging and imperious lord of a British manor,” but as /Film tells it, Irons will actually be playing Adrian Veidt, aka Ozymandias, the wealthy and brilliant industrialist who engineered a fake alien invasion and killed thousands in an effort to bring about world peace. Photos from the Watchmen set earlier this summer hinted that Adrian Veidt had recently died, as a headline in a newspaper stated “Veidt Officially Declared Dead.” Even if it’s true, it doesn’t necessarily mean that Veidt really is dead as he wouldn’t be above faking his own death in order to plot from the shadows.
