Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell announced on Tuesday (November 6th) the highly anticipated debut of his new musical venture, Perry Farrell’s Kind Heaven Orchestra. The band includes former Pearl Jam and one-time Soundgarden touring drummer Matt Chamberlain and Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, along with keyboardist Matt Rohde, guitarist Nick Maybury and Perry’s wife Etty Lau Farrell on vocals.
Farrell and his new act will headline Los Angeles’s Teragram Ballroom on Friday, November 30th as part of the inaugural Bill Graham Festival Of Lights, where they will debut new music from Farrell’s first solo album in over 18 years, set for release in 2019. Another Festival Of Lights show will follow on December 2nd in San Francisco.
Farrell’s new solo LP, Kind Heaven, will feature guest appearances from Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Motley Crue stickman Tommy Lee, Porno For Pyros guitarist Peter DiStefano and more. The disc will serve as a musical scene-setter for his immersive entertainment destination, also called Kind Heaven, which is set to open at The LINQ Promenade in Las Vegas next year.
