Korn guitarist Munky is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s multi-platinum third album Follow The Leader in a major way. Back in August, the band paid tribute to the album with a trio of special anniversary shows. The set featured seven cuts from the album and Munky rocked six custom guitars featuring the album’s artwork.
Fans can now buy the guitars and the proceeds will benefit the Extraordinary Families adoption and foster charity.
Munky said in a statement, “It’s been 20 years since Follow the Leader came out. We wanted to do something special to mark the anniversary; I wanted to do something with Ibanez to mark this era and create a cool piece of memorabilia.”
He continued, “The guitars have the album cover on it and just look amazing. The model is one of my signature guitars and it’s cool because I actually performed with the guitars during these shows. Part of the proceeds will go to an adoption charity, which is really true to my heart because I’m adopted and I don’t think a lot of people know that about me. Three special shows, six special guitars. It’s been a blast.”
There are six Ibanez Ampex200 guitars for sell. Each are adorned with the Follow the Leader album art and numbered and signed by Munky.
