Three Days Grace has landed its 14th Number One single on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Songs chart with “Infra-Red,” the latest track from the band’s Outsider LP.
That breaks the record held by Van Halen for two decades of topping the Billboard survey. “Infra-Red” is also Three Days Grace’s 15th chart-topper at Active Rock radio, expanding the record that the band already holds.
Drummer Neil Sanderson commented, “If you had told me when we were 14 and making noise in our garage that someday we’d set the record for most Number One rock songs in America, I would’ve called you bat-s**t crazy!! Accomplishments like this are never done individually. We want to thank our family who’s supported us from day one, rock radio who get our music to the masses, our label and friends in the industry for believing in the band, and most importantly all our loyal fans on this amazing journey with us.”
Outsider is Three Days Grace’s sixth full-length studio effort and came out this past March.
The Canadian act will tour Europe next month but will return home in mid-November with an extensive trek through its homeland, beginning on November 21st in Moncton, New Brunswick. Support on that road trip will come from Fozzy and Nothing More.
