Netflix is revealing a glimpse of Iron Fist’s Season 2 (set to launch September 7th). Finn Jones, unsurprisingly, is still kicking butt. Jessica Henwick is back too, as is Colleen Wing, the villain Davos played by Sacha Dhawan and the now semi-bionic Missy Knight, played by crossing over Luke Cage vet Simone Missick.“I’m really excited for people to see this trailer as it really teases what this new season offers – an evolution for the series,” new showrunner and executive producer Raven Metzber tells Deadline of the revitalized Iron Fist. “I really hope this gets people excited for what’s in store in Season 2 . I’m just so proud of what we all made together and can’t wait until it premieres.”

This September, in honor of its 25th anniversary, Steven Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park will be back on the big screen across the country. Over 500 theaters will be participating in the anniversary screenings. Various showings will be scheduled for September 16th, 18th, and 19th. Speaking of Venom, reports by Box Office Pro, reveal that the film could receive a record-breaking opening at theaters when it debuts in October. The film is currently estimated to open between $55 million and $85 million domestically, beating previous record holder Gravity, who earned $55.8 in it’s first weekend in 2013.
Treadstone, a spinoff of the Matt Damon-led Bourne franchise, has received a straight-to-series order by the USA Network. Heroes creator Tim Kring will oversee the series, which is set to explore the origins as well as present-day actions of clandestine CIA program Operation Treadstone, which transformed U.S. Service members into highly-trained and efficient assassins. Damon’s Jason Bourne was the last-surviving participant of Treadstone.
The Oscar-winning Alfonso Cuaron is teasing his return to the screen after four years of silence. The black-and-white Roma will be distributed by Netflix and will premiere at the Venice Film Festival later this summer. The film chronicles domestic strife in 1970s Mexico City as political trouble roils.
The upcoming Halloween, the 11th entry into the Michael Myers saga, is being planned as a one-off film, according to a tweet from the movie’s Producer, Jason Blum. (Now, let’s see what happens if the movie makes a crap-ton of money.. )
Scarlett Johansson topped Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid actresses in 2018. She quadrupled her 2017 earnings, raking in an estimated $40.5 million thanks in part to her role as Black Widow in the Avengers films. ScarJo officially dethroned Emma Stone, who didn’t even make the top 10 this year. Coming in second is Angelina Jolie, who earned most of the bank via the forthcoming Maleficent 2. Jennifer Aniston made number 3, earning $19.5 million for her endorsement deals with Smartwater, Aveeno and Emirates airlines. Hot on her heels is Jennifer Lawrence with $18 million, and rounding out the top five is Reese Witherspoon with $16.5 million.
