A 25-foot recreation of an open-shirted Jeff Goldblum has been erected to honor the original Jurassic Park film in London. Now TV erected the statue in Potters Fields, in front of London’s Tower Bridge, to commemorate the 25thanniversary of the film’s release. Jurassic Jeff has already become a tourist attraction.

After years of starts and stops in development, the potential for a reboot of The Crow seems to have once again been squashed, with Sony Pictures officially removing the tentative release date from their schedule completely. The film was previously slated for an October 11, 2019 release, with Zombieland 2 now sliding into that position, while The Crow Reborn has been pulled completely instead of delayed.
Joaquin Phoenix has been approached for numerous superhero movie-related roles, but turned them all down waiting for the perfect challenge. He finally found that challenge when DC offered him the role as The Joker in his own spinoff, prequel. According to THR, director Todd Phillips’ standalone Joker movie has landed an October 4, 2019 release date. Perhaps even the bigger news in this report, it has been confirmed the name of the film will be short and sweet: Joker.

Sony Pictures is moving ahead with plans to make a movie about a plus-size superhero. A source says the film may star Melissa McCarthy. “Melissa is already considered a superhero by many men and women of all different sizes. After the success of “Black Panther” studios have finally realized that diversity on screen can result in big box office success. A plus-sized superhero is going to be an inspiration for lots of people and no one would be better at playing the breakout role than Melissa.’‘
Earlier this year, J.J. Abrams dropped a surprise film that belonged to the Cloverfield universe on Netflix, The Cloverfield Paradox, which was met with mixed reception. Fans began looking to the future and the film Overlord, with rumors emerging that it was also part of the Cloverfield universe, which Abrams refuted.
