Val Kilmer will return as hotshot fighter pilot Iceman in Top Gun: Maverick. Tom Cruise starred as the Iceman’s toughest competition at flight school, Maverick, and is set to star in the follow-up. According to Variety, Cruise’s character will now be an instructor, with the film exploring “a world of drone technology, fifth-generation fighters and the end of the era of dog-fighting.” Other than Cruise, it’s not clear who from the original cast will be joining the sequel. Top Gun: Maverick is scheduled for release on July 12, 2019

Ocean’s 8 (PG-13) – Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City’s yearly Met Gala.
Hereditary (R) – When the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. **LIMITED RELEASE**
Hotel Artemis (R) – Set in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles, ‘Hotel Artemis’ follows the Nurse, who runs a secret, members-only emergency room for criminals.
There are now odds on who will rule at the end of Games of Thrones and fans can even bet on who will rule. The co-leaders are Daenarys and Jon Snow, each with 2-to-1 odds while the youngest (living) Stark, Bran has the third-best odds at 3.5-to-1. The Night King has the fourth best odds at 10-to-1 to sit on the throne. Game of Thrones will return for its eighth and final season in 2019.

Netflix announced Wednesday that it has renewed teen drama series 13 Reasons Why for a third season, with production to begin later this year. The news comes just weeks after the debut of the series’ second season, as well as star Katherine Langford’s confirmation that she will not be returning to the show. (Langford’s character has been dead throughout the first two seasons.) Season 3 will feature 13 episodes and is scheduled for release in 2019.
The co-creator of Friends says a reunion show will never happen. David Crane revealed that a reunion of the sitcom will “never” happen but did say Ross and Rachel are still together. Crane was a panelist Wednesday at TheWrap’s Emmy Series comedy showrunners panel.
