Netflix has set the official premiere date for the upcoming Matt Groening adult comedy fantasy series Disenchantment. The first 10 episodes will drop August 17th.

Marvel & Netflix have released another clip of the upcoming second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage. The official synopsis for Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 reads, “After clearing his name, Lake Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.” The new season debut June 22.
LeBron James and Channing Tatum are teaming up to produce a new action comedy called Public Enemy. The movie is about the speed of media in 2018
Dan Aykroyd tells Entertainment Tonight that he wants to reboot the Blues Brothers with two female leads. ”I like Lupita Nyong’o, and I like Taylor Swift. She’s got all the chops. She can sing, she can burn down guitar!’‘
Mark Wahlberg is in the process of bringing back the children’s educational TV series Captain Kangaroo. “I’ve been trying to figure out cool ways to get my kids to be interested in science, technology, engineering. So I was thinking about what made me interested in school was Captain Kangaroo, which ran for 30 years.” Wahlberg added, “We don’t know when it’s gonna air yet or where it’s gonna air. It’s still in its infancy, but we are making it happen.” The original Captain Kangaroo aired weekday mornings on CBS from 1955 until 1984.
Warner Bros. has pushed back the release date for Mark Wahlberg’s sci-fi action film The Six Billion Dollar Man by a year, moving the opening from May 31, 2019, to June 5, 2020. Warner Bros. is seeking a replacement for Damian Szifron, who departed as director.
Warner Bros. has also moved Godzilla 2 back two months from March 22, 2019, to May 31, 2019 — filling the slot vacated by The Six Billion Dollar Man.
Disney has unveiled the first synopsis for their upcoming Dumbo movie. “Holt was once a circus star but he went off to war and when he returned, it had terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, entrepeneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), and aerial artist Colette Marchant (Eva Green) swoop in to make the little elephant a star.“
