Maniac is a new 10-part series that’s coming to Netflix. It’s a remake of a Norwegian series of the same name. It’s about two strangers who find themselves caught up in a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial gone awry. The two strangers will be played by Jonah Hill and Emma Stone. Netflix has also revealed that Sally Field, Justin Theroux, Julia Garner and Jemima Kirke will also star in the series. No word on an exact release date for Netflix, but sources have hinted it would be out late this year.
A Quiet Place is back on top of the weekend box office. The thriller moved up a spot to first after taking in $22 million over the weekend while last weekend’s top movie Rampage dropped a spot to second with $21 million. And look at Marvel’s Black Panther holding strong months later!

Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for a fifteenth season at ABC, making it the longest-running primetime drama in the history of the network. The show, which stars Ellen Pompeo in the titular role, is also now tied with ER for TV’s longest running medical drama. Grey’s Anatomy remains one of ABC’s top-rated series, with this season averaging a 2.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 7.7 million viewers. And while the show has seen its ratings decline over the years, it is down only a few percentage points in both measures versus last season, while many other shows are down double digits.
Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox is said to be doing well after undergoing spinal surgery, “unrelated to his Parkinson’s.” A spokesperson said the actor “is recovering, feeling great, and looking forward to getting back on the golf course this summer.” Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991 but didn’t share the news with the public until 1998.

Deadpool 2 has broken advance ticket sales records for Regal Cinemas. Within four hours of going on sale, the sequel doubled the previous 24-hour record and also broke the record for an R-rated movie being sold on Regal’s website, Deadline reports. “With the 24-hour advance ticket record shattered, moviegoers seem just as excited as we are to see our favorite anti-hero back on the big screen,” said Ken Thewes, Chief Marketing Officer at Regal. “With tickets now on sale, we will continue to add seats to accommodate the demand.” Select locations will run the first Deadpool along with the sequel. 20th Century Fox drops Deadpool 2 May 18th.
