Bad Wolves have released a surprise duet with up-and-coming singer Diamante called “Hear Me Now.”
The ballad highlights Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext and the 21-year-old vocalist joining forces and intertwining their vocals in soaring fashion. Vext said about the track, “It is undeniable what Diamante brought to the song as a final touch. In retrospect, it always felt like ‘Hear Me Now’ was a duet. In the process of recording together, I think we all fell in love with Diamante a little bit. And we think you will too.”
Vext told us that “Hear Me Now” went through numerous changes on the way to its final version: “It was a pop song and, you know, we do studio work and we were gonna try to place it as a Verizon commercial, to be completely honest. And then we took the pop version and then the band got a hold of it, and then Bad Wolves-ified it, you know. So we added like heavier guitars, the drums got busier, and it was interesting to have something so stripped down, that wasn’t really meant to be on the record, and have it turn into us.”
Diamante’s debut LP, Coming In Hot, arrives on June 15th.
“Hear Me Now” is taken from Bad Wolves’ debut album, Disobey, which will be released on May 18th. The disc also includes Bad Wolves’ chart-topping cover of the Cranberries’ “Zombie.”
