FX has already released a series of strange promos to hype up the second season premiere of Legion, but the latest clip might be the trippiest one yet. Called “Amorphous,” the promo starts with David Haller (Dan Stevens) looking directly into the camera and speaking, but everything goes off the rails rather quickly. Check it out above and see for yourself, but be prepared for some nightmare fuel.
In a startling late-game shift, Marvel Studios has moved Avengers: Infinity War from its May 4th release date to April 27th, a week earlier! And much of the corresponding merchandise, like the Pop! figures from Funko, have been given an early release as well. Collectibles street-dated for this weekend? Already released!
The Walking Dead has re-signed every cast member for its upcoming ninth season save for Lauren Cohan, THR reports. Series leads Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are expected to return, barring any unforeseen character deaths. With her contract expired and no deal in place for season 9, Cohan has joined ABC pilot Whiskey Cavalier that may or may not make it to series.
Judd Apatow is launching an online class for would-be comedians. Offered via MasterClass (and set to launch in the spring of this year), students can pony up $90 for the class, or pay $180 for a year of unlimited access to two-dozen current and upcoming celeb-led courses. Apatow’s class will include 32 video lessons, which will explain how to write storylines, stand-up and direct. He will also offer pitching tips. Apatow is a producer, director and writer. His films include Knocked Up, This is 40, Funny People and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
The streaming service Hulu signed a deal with Madison Square Garden, which includes naming rights for the arena’s 5,600-seat theater, which will now be known as The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Signage is currently being installed, and includes directional and digital signage from Penn Station and new signage on Eighth Avenue. The deal also includes branding and content rights across the theater and MSG’s digital and promotional platform.
