The company that owns the rights to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has filed a few trademark applications seeking to lock down rights to “Fresh Princess” for a television program and other media platforms. According to TMZ, they’re also looking to trademark the “Fresh Princess” on merchandise — including bags, backpacks, animal collars and, of course, lots of clothing and footwear. The same execs recently wanted trademarks for new ‘Fresh Prince’ toys, which fueled speculation a cartoon version of the hit ’90s show was on the horizon.No word on whether Will Smith would be involved with a female-focused reboot.
Star Wars star Mark Hamill and Marvel director James Gunn are in talks over Hamill’s possible participation in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, according to their Twitter feeds. It started when a fan asked Gunn to put Hamill in the third installment, which Gunn said he was open to, and invited Hamill over to chat. Soon after, Hamill jumped in and agreed, tweeting: “I would be happy to do so, both as a good neighbor & an unemployed actor. All the best, mh,” Hamill tweeted.
