The Good, The Bad & The Nerdy for January 2, 2018
The final weekend of 2017 was a battle at the box office, with Star Wars: The Last Jedi edging out Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle for the #1 spot. The Last Jedi earned $69 million while Jumanji grabbed $67, following the four day numbers. With this finish, the latest Star Wars became the #1 movie for all of 2017, beating out Disney’s live-action Beauty & the Beast.
Vin Diesel has been named the top-grossing actor of 2017 by Forbes. His feature films made $1.6 billion in global ticketing sales, mostly in part to his roles in the Fast and the Furious & Guardians of the Galaxy franchises. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot round out the Top 3.
Sure, we skipped the first 3 parts, but this video shows how a battle between Superman and the Hulk would go down.. in space. Take a look:
Finally, longtime X-Files star Gillian Anderson says season 11, arriving during the 25th anniversary of the fan-favorite sci-fi hit, will be her last. “I’ve said from the beginning this is it for me,” Anderson told TV Insider. “I was a bit surprised by people’s [shocked] reaction to my announcement…because my understanding was that this was a single season.”
Should Fox allow this to be The X-Files final season (again) or should it continue without her?
