Netflix is stepping up their game, Arnold is growing the family, and Tron 3 would still see the light of day!
Netflix plans to release around 80 original movies in 2018. That equates to nearly one movie every four and a half days. The company also announced it could spend $8 billion on original content in 2018. So now you know where that extra dollar a month is going they are charging you.
Arnold Schwarzenegger tells Business Insider that a sequel to his 1988 comedy “Twins” is in the works. “Triplets” would star him, Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy.
I had a conversation yesterday with my agent and he said that the script will be finished in 14 days. Ivan Reitman is extremely happy with what he’s seen so far, he just wants to make a few tweaks, so that’s music to my ears. I think sometime beginning of next year we can shoot the film. Everyone is happy to do this movie.
Is Tron 3 still in the works? If Jared Letto has a say in it, then the answer is “Yes.” The Blade Runner 2049 star while out on the press circuit for the film confirmed that Disney still has plans to move forward with a third entry in the franchise saying:
It was a huge movie for me as well and I do think there’s so much potential in that world, there’s so much left to be said. I’m absolutely game to try to help in any way that I can bring that to life. It’s something that we’re in discussions about and very much looking forward to bringing to reality. It’s very early days though.
Disney’s movie schedule is currently booked through 2020 with Marvel and Pirates releases so we’ll probably have to wait until 2021 at minimum to see Tron 3. [Movie Web]
