Members of Linkin Park filmed a segment for ‘Carpool Karaoke’ just 6 days before lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide and the episode will apparently air in the coming months.
On July 14, the band released a photo on their official Twitter of Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn alongside actor/comedian Ken Jeong promoting their involvement in the sketch based off of the segment from The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

Sadly just 6 days later, the music industry was stunned by the news that Bennington had been discovered by a housekeeper dead with the Los Angeles County Coroner later concluding that he had committed suicide by hanging. Jeong tweeted his condolences to Chester and his family.
I am in shock and heartbroken. All my thoughts and prayers go out to Chester and his family and friends at this time.

‘Carpool Karaoke – The Series’ is set to premiere on August 8 via Apple Music and will feature other artists including Metallica. No mention if Linkin Park’s episode, one of the 16 episodes planned for the series, will be shelved following Bennington’s death.
