A mother writes the greatest note ever to explain her daughter being tardy to school!
Nicole Poppic had enough of her 14-year-old daughter Cara’s crap one particular morning when trying to get her off to school. So she did what any mother with a sense of humor would do; write a note tongue and cheek note to the school explain what happened… oh and throw her daughter’s phone out of the window of a moving vehicle.
To whom it may concern,
Cara is tardy this morning as a result of a condition known as teenage-ism. Adolescents across our great nation are afflicted, and there is no known cure. Symptoms are multitudinous, but this particular morning, she suffered from an inability to remove herself from her bed, and also felt the need to talk back to her birth-giver. She seems to be recovering her senses after watching her cell phone fly out the car window. Please call me if there is another flare-up.
Nicole posted a photo of the note on her blog saying that she walked in to the school to ensure that Cara gave the note to an office worker who chuckled when reading it. As far as the whole throwing the phone out the window; Nicole says she did but retrieved it unharmed from a neighbors yard.
Think she got the point across?
Now don’t go thinking Nicole is an evil mom or that Cara is a bad kid, as she explains in her blog:
I don’t want anyone under the false impression that Cara is a bad kid. I am very proud of her and I love being her mom. She was just having a bad morning. Still, I feel it is important for all of my children to realize that no matter what kind of mood a person is in, they are still responsible for their own actions and they are expected to be aware of how those actions affect other people.
