A computer expert has created a cover of Nirvana’s “Smell Like Teen Spirit” using old floppy drives, hard discs and scanners and it’s pretty interesting.
Pawel Zadrozniak used 64 floppy drives, eight hard discs and two scanner to build a hardware orchestra he dubbed The Floppotron. Zadrozniak said:
Every device with an electric motor is able to generate a sound. Scanners and floppy drives use stepper motors to move the head with sensors which scans the image or performs read/write operations on a magnetic disc.
