Sunday’s Spanish general election bears massive implications for future of EU

Spain’s Sunday general election could make the country the latest European Union member to shift to the political right.

Most polls put the right-wing Partido Popular ahead, but they would likely need the support of the extreme-right Vox party to form a coalition government.

Vox party supporters have openly expressed nostalgia for fascist dictator Francisco Franco and have adapted the slogan Make Spain Great Again.
