Second Annual Bike Xtravaganza

April 26, 2008- Lovington, Ilinois

Hosted by the American Legion Riders Post 429, starting at 9 AM, sign up at 108 E. State Street, Lovington, Illinois. The event will include a large variety of food and goods vendors. Activities such as pony rides, air bouncies for the kids, mechanical bull riding, bike show, bike rodeo and beer tent provided by local bar. Open to the public. Prizes from 1st to 3rd will be awarded to participants in rodeo and bike show. 10 separate classes will be awarded by a panel of judges. There will be a blessing of the bikes offered plus a DJ with a variety of music throughout the day. All proceeds of this event will be used to assist community, veterans, their families, including the Legacy Run 2008 Educational Scholarship Fund. Community Education Offerings for Alzheimer’s Caregivers
JACKSONVILLE, IL---The Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Illinois Chapter will host their free Caregiver Education Series, parts 1-4, on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Passavant Area Hospital, 1600 West Walnut, Jacksonville, IL, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Registration for this free event can be done by calling James Dearing at the Alzheimer’s Association Springfield office, 217.726.5184 or by visiting us on the web at www.alz.org/illinois.
