A Series of Unfortunate Events has always been planned to run for three seasons total, telling all of the stories from Lemony Snicket’s entire series of books. There are 13 novels in total, and they tell the story of three orphaned siblings who get sent to live with the villainous, and often ridiculous Count Olaf. Season 2 will be released on Netflix on March 30. Watch the new trailer above.
Ethan Hawke has signed on to play electricity pioneer Nikola Tesla in an upcoming biopic. In Tesla, Hawke reunites with writer-director Michael Almereyda, with whom he worked on Hamlet and Cymbeline.
ABC’s reboot of The Greatest American Hero reboot has found its star: Hannah Simone, of New Girl fame. With New Girl in it’s final season, Simone’s schedule is clear to play Meera, “a 30-year-old woman who loves tequila and karaoke and has spent her life searching and failing to find meaning, much to the chagrin of her traditional Indian-American family. An inexplicable event occurs that will change the course of Meera’s life forever: She is entrusted with a super suit to protect the planet. Meera may have finally found purpose, but the world has never been in more unreliable hands.” We are still waiting for ABC to announce a general air date for the revived program.

A new report from Deadline reveals 20th Century Fox has hired longtime Marvel Comics scribe (and recent DC convert) Brian Michael Bendis to write a script for Deadpool director Tim Miller. The movie? The Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) solo movie! While Bendis recently left Marvel Comics, this film keeps him involved with the characters from the House of Ideas. He had short stints on Ultimate X-Men, All-New X-Men, and Uncanny X-Men titles throughout his tenure at Marvel.
