Hugh Jackman tells Variety magazine that he turned down James Bond to star in X-Men 2. “I was about to do ‘X-Men 2’ and a call came from my agent asking if I’d be interested in Bond. I just felt at the time that the scripts had become so unbelievable and crazy, and I felt like they needed to become grittier and real. And the response was: ‘Oh, you don’t get a say. You just have to sign on.’ I was also worried that between Bond and ‘X-Men,’ I’d never have time to do different things.”

Quentin Tarantino & J.J. Abrams to team up for Star Trek movie! Quentin and J.J. are in talks to bring together a writers room for a Star Trek film at Paramount. Tarantino has his eye on directing it, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Abrams rebooted the franchise with Star Trek (2009) and helmed Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) before turning to Star Wars. He is still a producer on the Star Trek franchise. Paramount previously announced plans to develop a Star Trek film starring Chris Hemsworth as Captain Kirk; it is unclear how this plan would be affected by Tarantino’s development project.

Just ten days before John Travolta’s John Gotti biopic, Gotti, was set to open, Lionsgate has cut ties with the movie. Lionsgate sold the movie back to its production company, Emmett/Furla/Oasis. The producers are expected to seek new distribution for the movie, but the planned release date of December 15 looks impossible. Lionsgate didn’t specify the reason for the sale.

Footage in the video above. In a behind-the-scenes video released by AMC, Lincoln says; “I was desperate to be naked. But they wouldn’t let me be naked! I said, ‘One take,’ I said, ‘Please, with just the cowboy boots. Let’s do that.’ And for some reason, AMC weren’t completely comfortable.”

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson tells Collider that his first cut of the movie was over 3 hours long. “A lot of really good stuff came out in the edit. I actually just reviewed the deleted scenes we’re gonna have on the Blu-ray. Some of my favorite scenes ended up having to come out just structurally. There’s a lot of really substantial, really good scenes. There’s a couple whole sequences, actually, that we lifted out. It’s weirdly—and this always happens—it’s like your babies you have to kill. It’s some of my favorite stuff from the movie.”
