The official autopsy report has been released.
TMZ acquired the report and originally said the late Linkin Park singer had a small amount of alcohol and MDMA (ecstasy) in his system. HOWEVER, THEY LATER CORRECTED THAT STATEMENT:
According to the autopsy and toxicology results, obtained by TMZ, the Linkin Park singer’s blood also tested “presumptive positive” for MDMA (ecstasy) … based on one test. Two subsequent tests did not detect the drug, and the ultimate conclusion was Chester was not under the influence of drugs when he died. [TMZ]
Authorities reportedly found a prescription bottle of Zolpidem, a generic form of Ambien, on his dresser, along with pint glass of Corona and an empty bottle of Stella Artois. Prior to his suicide on July 20 Chester was in an outpatient treatment program and told his friends that he had been six months sober.
