The Good, The Bad & The Nerdy 11/28: The Future of the MCU, Lady Bird Breaks Records, MST3K Renewed

The Good, The Bad & The Nerdy for November 28, 2017

Vanity Fair spoke with Marvel’s main man, Kevin Feige, for their Holiday Issue cover story this month. He revealed many more movies on the way for Marvel Studios. In addition to the 17 that have already been released, and the five currently in production, 20 more films are coming down the pike. “22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything we’ve done before – intentionally.”

There are a lot of rumors circling the ‘net that Wednesday will be a big day for Marvel movie fans. On Sunday, the Russos, the writers & directing duo behind the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, tweeted out a rather jovial-looking cartoon 3.. with no explanation. Many fans are taking that as “3 days until our first Avengers: IW trailer” – – which would place it’s release TOMORROW! *fingers crossed this proves true*

Marvel wishes they had made Captain Marvel before DC & Warner Bros made Wonder Woman

Lady Bird set a new Rotten Tomatoes for most consecutive “fresh” reviews. Toy Story 2 originally held the record with 164 “fresh” reviews, but as of yesterday Lady Bird has 170 “fresh” reviews, bringing its Tomatometer score up to 100%. Man on Wire” (157 reviews, 100% rating) and Things to Come (128 reviews, 100% rating) are the only other two films that have been able to achieve a 100% score with over 100 reviews.

Lady Bird IS showing locally if you want to see what the buzz is all about.

Congratulations to Mystery Science Theater 3000 for being picked up for a 2nd season on Netflix. This will be the 12th overall season for the show.. which started on Minneapolis public television. MST3K was the best babysitter I ever had growing up. So many memories.
