The Good, The Bad & The Nerdy for November 22, 2017
Joker’s favorite gal, Harley Quinn, is set to star in her own animated series. Geared towards adults, “Harley Quinn” will stream exclusively on DC’s streaming service, with the 1st season running for 26 (half-hour) episodes. Producers are hoping to secure Suicide Squad’s Margot Robbie (Harley) to voice the character.
The newest version of Murder on the Orient Express was released to mixed reviews.. but wouldn’t you know it, in just a few weeks of release, it’s racked up more than $148 million at the box office. This success has inspired 20th Century Fox to order it’s sequel to production. Death on the Nile (based on the 1937 book of the same name) will continue the adventures and mysteries around Hercule Poirot.
Lastly, one favorite character introduced in The Empire Strikes Back won’t appear in Star Wars The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson tells Entertainment Weekly. Johnson shared the news about Lando Calrissian because he didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. “No, and I don’t want fans to get their hopes up. He’s not in the film and it was never really something that came up. I mean, I loved that character. It would have been fun to see him, but it’s just not something that ever really had a place in the story.”
Have a great holiday weekend, won’t you?
