Drury Calls For Independent Special Counsel In Sexual Harassment Investigations

A state lawmaker who is running for Illinois Attorney General has filed legislation calling for an independent special counsel to be appointed to look into allegations of sexual harassment under the Capitol Dome.

Democratic Representative Scott Drury says Springfield can’t be trusted to police itself, and so an outside investigator has to be brought in to thoroughly examine the allegations.

Lawmakers recently appointed an interim legislative inspector general to review more than two dozen pending ethics complaints… including at least one known accusation of sexual harassment by a state senator.
