Kid Rock Will Not Run For Senate, Announces New Album + Tour [VIDEO]

Kid Rock has officially made the announcement that he will not be running for the Senate seat in his home state of Michigan.

He made the announcement via a very explicit interview with SiriusXM on Tuesday. Rock, who was introduced at recent shows as the ‘next senator’ and had previously hinted at running for President said he told his promotions team to run with the idea while gearing up to release a new album and tour.

Yes.. a new album titled Sweet Southern Sugar will be released on November 3 via BBR Records. The album, recorded in Nashville will have a definite country flavor to it and include songs like ‘Greatest Show On Earth’ and ‘Po-Dunk’.

The rocker will head out on the road at the beginning of the new year to promote the new album. The tour will kick off in Nashville on January 19 and will conclude March 24 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
